PACRA’s Board of Directors has decreed that PACRA as an organization should embrace corporate social responsibility by proactively adopting positive behaviours in the following key areas:

The Enviroment

Environment - About PACRA

PACRA recognizes there are a multitude of real environmental challenges that the world faces today. Climate Change and Resources are just a few of the key c hallenges we all face in the 21st Century

Climate Change

PACRA’s Board of Director’s have pledged to constantly review both their business and personal travel schedules in an effort to minimize the impact such travel may have on the environment / climate change.

As such, the PACRA Board of Director’s have pledged to adopt Climate Care as the organization through which PACRA’s Board of Directors may purchase Carbon Offsets. The Board of Directors will also actively encourage the PACRA Regional Directors (Council Members) as well as its members as a whole, to voluntarily participate in this scheme too.

In adopting this strategy, the Board of Director’s hopes to demonstrate that together, we can all make a difference to our world.

Resources

Climatecare - About PACRAWith an ever expanding global population demand for resources such as energy, raw materials, water, etc. will continue to grow, and thus place enormous pressures on the earth’s resources. PACRA will endeavor to limit the resources it uses in its daily operations to a minimum. In particular care will be showntowards minimizing the use of paper, both in the PACRA office environment, but also with respect to the training environment and production of training materials. As such, PACRA will only issue its bi-annual journal in an on-line format, reducing both demands for paper as well as the energy that would otherwise be expended for transportation / delivery of paper based journals.

People & The Community

People & CommunitySponsorship Programmes

In addition to the multitude of environmental challenges being faced by the world today, PACRA recognizes that a significant proportion of the world’s population also face the challenges of poverty, hunger, disease and relatively low standards of education.

PACRA cannot address these challenges from an organizational perspective, but through its Board of Directors and Council Members it can set an example of how individuals can reach out to the needs of the people and communities in less developed parts of the world and help to change the lives of people and communities.
