Vietnam officially known as the Socialist Republic of Vietnam is the eastern most country in the South East Asia. It is a single party state with its state constitution. Vietnam is divided into 58 provinces and subdivided into various provincial municipalities, townships, counties and districts. The head of the state is the President followed by the Prime Minister who presides over a council of ministers. Doi- Moi or the Vietnam Economic reform that took place in 1986 aimed at creating a socialist oriented market economy. This country has an improving economy after the Vietnam War and is mainly known for its agricultural civilization. Vietnam is now also a large producer of oil and has a strong foreign relation with its neighbouring countries. In the healthcare field commercialization of this sector has involved private investments hence spreading the health service from state to individual. The healthcare service is improving with standards and facility also being raised. A larger population is covered under the National Health insurance scheme now.
