Malaysia a country in the South-East Asia is a Federal, Constitutional nation ruled by an elective monarch. It is a founding member of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and participates with organizations like United Nations, Commonwealth of Nations, Non-aligned Movement and other international organizations. Malaysia is a newly industrialized market economy and heavily relies on international trade and manufacturing. In terms of healthcare the main responsibility is vested on the government’s Ministry of Health however it is operated via a two tier system i.e. government run Universal health system and a Private healthcare system. In the public sector both the federal government and state local government shares responsibilities in distributing the work of healthcare. The main aim of the healthcare plan is to improve the standard and sustainability of quality of life by providing a quality medical care to the people of the country.
