China officially known as the People’s Republic of China (PRC) is the world’s most populous country with a population of over 1.3 billion. China is a single party state governed by the Communist Party of China. China was known for its market oriented economic development which quadrupled after the year 2000 and now it has emerged as fourth in world in terms of GDP (purchasing power parity). With the introduction of market-based economic reforms in 1978 China became the world’s fastest growing economy. Few years back the healthcare expenditure shifted from government and state owned enterprise to individuals increasing out-of-pocket expenditure. But recently with the reformed government plan of the introduction of National Health Insurance maximum number of population was benefitted by the same and provide a universal access to healthcare. With such large population and area China emerges to be a promising country in development of economy, foreign relation, healthcare industry and trade.
